Precision Rectifier

Hello

I am trying to make a Rail to Rail precision Rectifier for 5MHz input signal. But I am having problem as I am not able to get a opamp that will be suitable for it. I know the opamp should have high GBW and high slew rate but not sure which one would work. Can somebody Help

Thank you.

  • Akbar,

I have been running some simulations on a couple of different precision rectifier circuits using the widest bandwidth op amps available from our Precision Amplifiers group. Even with their GBW in the 200 MHz range the results are not acceptable for a 5 MHz input frequency. Therefore, I am certain that your application requires op amps having even higher GBW, slewing rates than our amplifiers produce.

TI does produce op amps that have much higher GBW and slewing rates. They are available from the High-Speed Amplifiers group. If you submit your question to their E2E forum someone should be able to assist you.

    Regards, Thomas
