Can I replace LM358 op-amp comparator with internal comparator in PIC Microcontroller?

I would like to replace LM358 op-amp used as comparator in an SMPS circuit for sensing current and voltage with a PIC16F1825 microcontroller. The microcontroller has 32 MHz clock speed and the comparator function does not require much additional programming other than configurations. Is this replacement possible practically? Is PIC16F1825 able to provide the same operating speed of LM358 op-amp? Is there any possibility of reduction in performance if I use the same microcontroller for some other applications along with comparator function?1w x 24 350mA ckt.pdf
