Eog acquisiton

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

here any mistake in the circuit ??

because i am getting proper output but when i am checking with electrodes for eog signal i m not getting proper output and sometimes getting dc signal in the DSO.and feeling small shocks where electrode is placed..i have used RG of 5kohm to get gain of 10 instead 500ohm here.

and pin 5 is grounded too..

where is the problem ???

  • can anyone suggest ? where can be a problem ?
  • Hello Angel,

I'm not sure why, but I can't see the circuit.  I have tried 2 different browsers.  Please make sure it is a jpeg.  If not, try drawing the circuit using TINA-TI and post the *.TSC file.

I can make a few suggestions and comments without the picture, though.  First, don't connect this circuit up to any living being!  Though we are not EOG/EEG/ECG experts, it is highly likely that there is something very wrong if a shock is felt at the location of the electrode(s)!  The electrodes should be considered inputs, with the only exception being the right-leg-drive, if applicable.  Secondly, as mentioned before, we are not EOG experts.  We can, however, try to help you understand how the instrumentation amplifier works in your configuration (though I can't see your schematic I assume you're using an INA).  We rely on the circuit designer for their expertise on the given biopotential measurement.
