Basic buck regulator

Hi

I have built a basic buck regulator circuit on breadboard. The same circuit is shown below in TINA simulator. I have bult the circuit for 5V regulated output.

There the values also shown in TINA simulator (DC analysis). So I have uploaded 4 figures which have different values of input voltage.

So the problem here is the output voltage is being regulated only for the values more than 13V of input voltage. So this is the problem because the same input voltage is connected to the opamp supply.

So why I am not getting 5V when opamp supply is below 13V ???

Opamp = UA741C

I/p offset = 2mV

  • Hi Anil,

    • Can you provide the actual circuit schematic that you are working from?
    • Can you supply your TINA .TSC file?
    • Describe the waveform that VG2 produces.
    • Is this an academic project, or an actual product application?

    Regards, Thomas
