Hi

INA213 supports bidirectional operation like shown in the datasheet P.22 Bidirectional Operation.

You can achieve this bidirectional operation by using normal differential amplifier, can't you?
We just want to confirm the bidirectional operation is not specific function of the current shunt monitor IC.

Best regards

  • Hi,

You can achieve bidirectional operation by using difference amplifiers as well. The following training video explain the difference between difference amplifiers and current shunt monitors and also when is a good idea to use current shunt monitors.

If you like you can share some information about your application and I can recommend some current shunt monitors. For differential amplifiers the Precision Amplifiers forum's team should be able to help.

    Hope this helps!
