Hello,

I had a general question about the use of the TSM104WA Quad Operational Amplifier . The Adjust and Cathode pins appear to be tied to a zener diode, however one of the pins is being fed into the bottom of the diode which makes it appear as if its being used as a tri-state buffer. If anyone could enlighten me or refer me to more information about these pins and their functionalities I would appreciate it.

Alright, I've done research, and as I understand it, thats a symbol for a shunt regulator. My question now: If I want to use this device simply as a quad amplifier, and ignore the cathode and adjust pins, would it be acceptable to simply tie cathode and adjust to Vcc (GND), My assumption is that this would keep Vcc at ground

You can leave pins 8 (Adjust) and 9 (Cathode) open or they can connect to pin 13 (VCC-)
