Query on power supply for the LMV324M

I've been going through a TI design (the CC3200 based smart plug reference design) that uses the LMV324M opamp. Now the datasheet states that the maximum power supply for this opamp is 5.5V (V+ - V-). However, the reference design powers this using a +/- 3.3V supply. Isn't this outside the specified absolute maximum ratings? Also, can I use the LM324 with the same supply instead?

+/-3.3V is too much. Which design does this? Please provide a link.

Here is the link to the schematic: www.ti.com/.../tidrfq8. The schematic states Vcc and -3.3V and the accompanying design guide states the Vcc as 3.3V. The design guide can be found here: www.ti.com/.../tidu983

I previous testing I have run LMV358 at 6.5V without any immediate and obvious damage.
However, the design voltage with LMV358M appears to be a mistake.

I suggest posting in the forum for CC3200 .

I've done that but there was no response. Would I be able to use an LM324 instead?

LM324 has a low VOH which could is VCC - 1.5V (even worse cold).

Try TL974 instead.
