Hi Ti Members

Is TI have any IR receiver which should work only in Line of sight.Our application is to put IR receiver in LED bulbs .

We want if any one has to control LED Bulb(ON/OFF or dimming) they should point there remote towards LED Bulbs.

This we want because if someone watching TV and using the remote it should not change the functionality of LED Bulbs.

For that we need Line of sight working IR receiver.

Hello,

Have you taken a look at the BOOST-IR plug in module for LaunchPads? There is design documentation that you might be able to use. Specifically look at the schematic and bill of materials in the zip folder of the design files.

TI offers a standalone IrDA encoder/decoder (TIR1000), but it does not include a transceiver.
