Hello,
I am doing a design where I need a frequency to voltage converter IC. The LM2907 will do the job but my question is if this will work down to a single 5V supply?
Thanks and regards,
John Barrett

Hi John,
Although the datasheet states minimum input voltage to be 6V, I don't see a reason why the part won't work below positive 6V. The only thing to keep in mind is When the input stage changes state (due to a suitable zero crossing or differential voltage on the input) the timing capacitor is either charged or discharged linearly between two voltages whose difference is VCC/2. Then in one half cycle of the input frequency or a time equal to 1/2 fIN the change in charge on the timing capacitor is equal to VCC/2 × C1. Use the following equation to calculate the output:
VO = VCC × fIN × C1 × R1 × K
