Hi

We are using INA226EVM for evaluation.

Now, we can get log roughly every 1.3s like following.

We want to get log with more finely interval (e.g. 10msec).

How to get more finely intervals?

BestRegards

  • Hi na na78,

Usually customers download the LAbView source code of the EVM Software and modify the logging intervals. How are you extracting the 1.3s log?

    Regards

  • Hi Mayrim

    Thank you for your reply.

We got log using INA226EVM Software.

The following is the image how we got log.

Select Graph tab, and click "Continuously Poll Data", then Logged.

We want to make the interval of logging shorter.

    BestRegards

  • Unfortunately the SM-USB-DIG runs at a slow rate and that is the limiting factor here. The current EVM software runs as quickly as it can doing what it does. The source code is available for labview and you may be able to trim a little bit of time off by eliminating features you don't really use, but again, the SM-USB-DIG controller is pretty slow.

By slow, I should clarify, I mean the time between commands is long, not the communication frequency which I believe is running at 400kHz.
  • Hi Jason

    Thank you for your reply.

We understand that constraint is caused by SM-USB-DIG and the constraint can not be changed.

We want to monitor the current following capability using EVM.

    Do you have ideas?

    BestRegards
  • There are places to hook up your own SCL and SDA lines.  Perhaps you have a controller board that is not the SM-USB-DIG that can run faster and take the data you need?  In the past, I used an FPGA to collect some data at high speed; is there something like that you have available?
