Hi Team,
The customer needs the current sensors. Those are 20A/12V ,20A/48V , 15A/12V and 15A/48V. Please recommend the suitable IC.
Thanks,
Best Regards,

Hi Mickey,
Can you please provide more information about the application and requirements?
Hi Mickey,
Basically you could detect 15A, 20A with any of our current shunt monitors. The limitation of our INAs are based on Vcm, Vs and Vshunt. As long as the customer select a shunt resistor that in combination with the load current do not exceed Vshunt spec of the device they should be fine.
INA250 and INA169 are different devices. INA250 specify the maximum load current because it have integrated shunt, so the load current is limited by that shunt resistor in this case. INA160 is a current output current shunt monitor with NOT integrated shunt. The customer can select the shunt resistor appropiated for its applications requirements.
In order to provide a basic recommendation please find out the following:
See, below, an example of how INA169 works. I connected a 20A load with a 10m ohm shunt resistor. This create a differential voltage of around 200mV. As the INA169 is current output device, you need to connect a resistor in the output to set your gain. In this circuit the gain is set to 20V/V with a 20kohm resistor. This configuration gives us 4.0V at the output. This configuration meets device spec.
