LM311DR and LM311 and LM311MX/NOPB

Hello

I would like to know what are different things between LM311DR and LM311MX/NOPB.

I reviewed the data sheet of them and could not find remarkable different things.

Do I use them without comnsiderating electrical specification?

Let me know whether thay are same or not in terms of electrical specification.

Thanks

  • Jin,

After the NSC/TI acquisition, the existing (original) National parts received a “–N” suffix to the generic part number to differentiate them.
The specific part numbers with packaging suffix were unique so no "-N" is needed for the full part number

The two devices are not exact copies of each other. They were produced by two separate companies (at the time), on different processes, using two different layouts by two different designers.

Both devices meet minimum specs defined in the datasheet , and will be “identical” for almost all applications. But there will always be differences in the corners of operation.

If the customer is concerned, or are relying heavily on a particular spec, then they should sample test or re-qualify the device over temp and operating conditions.
  • Hi Ronald
    Thank you for answer.
