LM7322 Operating Temperature Range

I have a design that uses the LM7322 as a buffer for a voltage reference and as an output buffer that deals very well with the capacitance of the cable and the external circuit. I have an application that requires operation down to -45 degrees C and I wonder if the LM7322 can operate down to below the datasheet limit of -40. I could put the LM7322 through a qualification process but what might I expect to find at -45 or even -55 degrees C? The equipment may only need to start up at -45 as it will heat up during operation.

    What is the supply voltage and what is the load (resistive and capacitive).

    I looked back at the characterization data. They did not go below -40°C. They were more concerned about the upper temp ranges.

    However, looking at the data, the phase margin only dropped less than 1° between 25C and -40°C, though the GBW is down a few percent.

    Common mode range gets better as temperature goes down, so the input stage is not going to fall off the common mode "cliff".

    I think it should be fine at -45°C. The LM7322 is tested at cold (-40C) in production, so the behavior should be fairly consistent. But I do not have any data to back up -55°C operation.

    The supply voltages used are typically 5V single rail, also in some applications +/-5V and +/-15V.

    The load will be in the range 2k to 10k resistive and up to 2n capacitive.

    You have given me some confidence to keep the LM7322 in the design for the extended temperature range. Temperature testing will be done but it is always best to have confidence of success as changes are expensive.
