LMV7219. What is PCB temperature spec?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMV7219

Dear Specialists,

My customer is using LMV7219.

At the latest PCN, the datasheet is added a PCB temperature spec.

This is a first experience for them, they'd like to know why this spec(PCB temp 105deg) is added.

They think PCB of temperature spec is 105deg in general, it doesn't have to describe to the spec.

What is a special reason to add?

Could you please advise background in detail at all possible?

I appreciate your great help.

Best regards,

Shinichi

  • Hello Shinichi,

This specification was put in at the request of a specific major customer.

It is equivalent to stating that the device can operate up to 105°C ambient.

There has been no change to the die, packaging or testing. All other specifications remain the same.

I am answering this for the supporting Engineer who is currently traveling - so any clarifications will need to wait until he returns mid next week.

    Regards,
