Op amp datasheet based equivalent circuit

Kindly recomend at least one reference ( a book would do best) about the equivalent model for which the parameters can be found in or extracted from a datasheet.

I need to make an analitical model and I've got it alk figured out except the frequency behaviour.

  • Hello,

Are you having issues simulating with a particular TI op amp? If so, let us know.
  • Dear all,

I’m writing to this community as here are gathered one of the best, application oriented electronics specialists!

I am trying to calculate an analytical model using op-amps. As the model has to be further validated, it should comply with the practical reality!

Therefore, kindly DO provide one of two references describing the equivalent model for an op-amp! I have to start from references since I do not want to reinvent the wheel and hence I need to say who did it first! I found some, but these are all describing the op amp starting from the topological description (transistors, current sources, specific stages, etc.) but I’d rather go with the datasheet parameters instead. Isn’t there any related work?

I need an equivalent model for an op amp that should also contain the low-pass characteristic (amplitude/ phase) and the parameters should be directly extractable from the datasheet of the op-amp. So far, I’ve figured it out: input parallel impedance and an output voltage source + stray resistance; the low pass characteristic, offset and noise are described by the voltage source. But, I need to get the model as close as possible to the real behavior of the op-amp and I need to further compute it on the basis of the datasheet!  Kindly provide help in this regard!

Thank you in advance, Dr. Ing. Pop Mircea.

  • Hi Dr. Pop,

I merged this thread with your previous one because they were the same topic. Let's see what people suggest.
  • No, actually I have no trouble, I only need to show that (and how much) the op-amp is working! Therefore, I need an equivalent circuit for it!  I found it either! Strange enough, I only need a reference stating that the choice of the model is proper! All in all, does TI have some kind of document discussing the choice of the op-amp equivalent circuit for analytical purposes (I'm not using SPICE)!
