NE5532 output short circuit

Hi,

Let me confirm about behavior of following case.

According to datasheet of NE5532, above spec is described.

I understood that this spec mean maximum current which OPAMP can output (In other words, even if the circuit is short, OPAMP output up to 60mA(worst case is 10mA)).

So, I believe that following behavior will be observed in following case. Is my understanding correct ?

* When output short-circuit current is 10mA(worst case) and output is required 15mA, offset will be appeared on output.

Hello Machida,

I believe that you are correct, when a device cannot source the required current the output voltage will have an offset.

Machida,

Yes, the current limit can reduce output voltage.

Were you expected more voltage on the output?
