Cannot get USB DIG Platform to power up correctly or be recognized by the INA220 software

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA220

Hi Team,

I am attempting to use the INA220 to measure current for a demo, but am having difficulty with the EVM. I can't get Vdut net wo reliably stay up. It seems that regardless of the jumper settings, order in which I plug things, etc, it won't stay "on".

Also, whenever I run the software, even when I run as administrator, it does not recognize the EVM. I get the dreded "USB Communications problem! Check your cable connections and press 'Try Again' to continue." error.

I am running Win7 on my laptop.

Appreciate your help, it is a little urgent. Thank you!

Cody

  • Hi Cody,

I just plugged in the INA220 EVM and everything works well. Do you see the Vcc, , 3.3V, uC lights on? Make sure you are applying power to the USB DIG platform.

If you are applying power and you see those lights on, except VDUT, then the USB cable is bad. Find another cable and try again.

Let me know what you find. You can give me a call as well.

    Regards
