TL331 comparator threshold definition

Hi,

Customer will provide a fixed voltage (2.5V) at IN- pin.  Since the Input offset voltage (Vio) is max at 9mV, can I say

  1. If IN+ < 2.5V-9mV=2.491V, then the output will be low?  (Considering IN- and IN+ are both within the common mode range.)
  2. If IN+>2.5V-9mV=2.491V. then the output will be high? (Considering IN- and IN+ are both within the common mode range.)

Thanks!

Antony

  • Antony,

If IN+ < 2.5V-9mV=2.491V, then the output will be low (Considering IN- or IN+ are within the common mode range.)
If IN+>2.5V+9mV=2.509V. then the output will be high (Considering IN- or IN+ are within the common mode range.)

    9mV includes both polarities.
