Hi,
can you please look at the attached cirucit diagram. What you think about it.
I believe ist risky because we can have a voltage at the output while no supply voltage is present
Basically we need a programmable treshold value that has a Default value when the uC is not operating.
We also need a solution that we can adapt for a high temperature design and we did not find an amplifier with enable for this.
The circuit Shows TLC2274 but as mentioned below we want to use the OPA2134.
Best regards,
Katharina
Hi Katharina,
If a voltage is expected to be present at the output while the power supplies are off some sort of protection circuitry is recommended. I recommend checking out our TI Precision Lab training videos on Electrostatic discharge (ESD) and Electrical Overstress (EOS) for some recommended protection circuitry.
What temperature range do you need the amplifier to operate at?
Thank you,
Tim Claycomb
Hello Katharina,
I would still recommend using some TVS diodes on the power supplies so the current can flow back to ground when a voltage is present on the output.
Thank you,
Tim Claycomb
