OPA192: Output Behavior when the Input Floating

Part Number: OPA192
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA2192

Hi team,

Could I know the output behavior (yellow circle) when the input voltage is floating as shown in below graph?

Thanks!

Best,

Jason

  • Jason,
I am not sure how to understand your schematic - op amps have two inputs but you show on your schematic only one; assuming that you use both channels of OPA2192 in a follower configuration, floating the inputs (no any resistive path to ground) will cause the output to collapse on one of its rails (positive or negative supply).
  • Dear Marek,

    You are right!

    :  )

The customer is using our OPA2192 as follower configuration as shown in below.

Could I learn the reason that floating input cause the output to collapse on one of its rails?

From the customer's observation, some input is floating but the output is not collapse on one rail.

Do you think what the reason cause this phenomenon?

    Thanks!

    Best,

    Jason
