I have an input voltage that swings from -0.5V to +5.25V with 20KHz square wave. I am using LMH6553 and ADS4129 to transform analog to Digital signal. My supply voltage for LMH6553 is +/- 5V. Per LMH6553 data sheet, the CMVR (Input common mode voltage range ) is +/-3.6V. ADS4129 is driving CM voltage to LMH6553 and the CM voltage is fixed at .95V.

Will this setup clip my input voltage?

If so, what is your suggestion?

Hi Steve,

Yes, any input voltage beyond +/- 3.6V will clip. You can fix this by attenuating your input signal with resistors.

The ADC only needs 2Vpp. so you can set the amplifier for a gain of 1.

Are you using the clamping feature of the LMH6553?

I have a 4:1 resistor divider that will divide down the voltage to ~1.0. With Vcm at 0.95 and a gain of 1, my output voltage swing is around 1.95 Vpp. I think that might work. Thanks, Steve
