Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA300
I'm currently using the INA300 chip in conjunction with a 0.0003 Ohm current sense resistor to ultimately set an overcurrent limit of 90A. However, in testing the chip prior to inserting into my design, I've encountered some odd behavior. I plan to connect the ALERT output to a 10k pullup resistor and also to the ENABLE pin of the A4915 BLDC controller. This enable pin is active high with series resistance and a pull-down resistor internal to the A4915 chip.
With the LATCH mode set to transparent (pull-down resistor), the chip acts erratically. With just a pull up resistor, the INA300 chip correctly switches low when the current limit is reached. However, with the ENABLE pin of the A4915 connected, it either 1. does not switch low or 2. switches low and latches low, even though the over limit current has returned below the limit.
Any advice for isolation circuitry, or things I may be doing wrong? Thanks.
