INA826: 4-20mA loop current to 0-5V converter

I'm reading this http://www.ti.com/product/INA826/datasheet/application_and_implementation.html

Since we are not measuring +/-10V input, is it possible to adapt to using single 5V power supply with 2.5V reference chip?

We also have +12VDC on the board, but we don't have +15V and -15V.

Because of limited space on the board we can't add the different power rails.

The output swing is OK for us since we have 10-bit ADC with 0-5V range.

  • Hi Khoi,

    The INA826 is intended to operate on single supply voltages as low as  3V, so you would be fine with a 5V supply and 2.5V reference. You just need to make sure you are operating within the devices input and output limitations. If you go here:
