INA219: Using higher than recommended shunt resistor

Part Number: INA219

Hello,

I'm currently trying to measure current ranging from about 0.9m A to 5m A at around1.4 V and want to automate things while maintaining a correct accuracy (a multimeter is my best friend at the moment :) ).

Searching the net for information i found the INA 219 witch seemed perfect to use with i2C until I discovered the low accuracy at this kind of currents.

You're welcome to laugh at me if the question is stupid (my electronics lesson are long forgotten now) but may I use a shunt resistor of higher value than the recommended 100 mOhms ?

Is there any risk other than having an incorrect reading ?

Thank you for your time and any of the inputs you can give to me!
