THS7530: Gain drift due to temperature?

Part Number: THS7530

Hello,

we want to use two THS7530 in series as VGA in an HF-Ultrasound application, espacially because its good noise performance. But we are a bit confused that there isn't any statements regarding gain drifts due temperature in the datasheet. Derivations in production within the given ±2.25 dB are no problem, we usually calibrate this out, but long term drifts or temperature drifts can't be tolerated above +-0.5 dB.

My question: Do You have any information about this, or shall we buy some evalboards to verify this?

Thank You and best Regards

Hendrik

  • Hi Hendrik,

We are checking our database to see if the gain variation across temperature information can be readily made available to you. Usually we provide data for gain variation across temperature, but longer term drift is something that we do not normally report. It is assumed that as long as the input and output DC specs are within the production limits set in the datasheet, the long term gain drift effects are not an issue.

    Best Regards,
    Rohit
