Analog Signal Division

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MPY634

Hi,

I have two sine wave signals A and B whose amplitude can change from +10mV to +200mV. I need to design an analog circuit which do (A-B)/(A+B). Can we get an IC based solution for this or I need to do it as exp[log(A-B) - log(A+B)]?

Regards,

Shihab.

  • Hello Shihab,

I'm sure you can figure out how to add with an op-amp. To divide which far more complex, I suggest the MPY634.

Figure 4 in the MPY634 data sheet shows the divider configuration. Since the MPY634 has differential inputs, it can also take care of (A-B) too.
