DRV2700EVM-HV500: EVM Control Software GUI console issues

Hello,

I'm using the GUI for the DRV2700EVM-HV500, and I can't seem to get the waveform that it should give out. I'm using the WaveBuilder tab and chose to send a sine wave, but when I send the waveform and tested it out with an oscilloscope, it's just a continuous voltage. What could be the issue here?

Also, I was wondering whether there's a Linux version of the GUI available?

are you using PiezoControlConsole?

we don't have Linux version.

Hi Peter,

Yes I am using the PiezoControlConsole. Do you know why it's not outputting a sine wave when I'm using the "WaveBuilder" tab, sine waveform output?

please flash the firmware inside the PiezoControlConsole installation folder.

Thanks for your quick reply. Flash the firmware means take a screenshot of the firmware folder?

no. please re-program the onboard MSP430 with the firmware located in the installation folder.

Hi Peter,

Alright, I will do that. Just two quick questions:

I downloaded the firmware folder, but there's two folders in it: "Binary" and "Source_CCSv6". Do I only need to upload the contents of "Source_CCSv6" to CCS and upload that to the MSP430, or do we also include "Binary"?

If I'm using CCS version 7, it should still be fine right?

Hi, Kate:

i am referring to the installation folder of PiezoControlConsole.
in the installation folder, we can find a folder named "EVMFirmwareUpdater\Firmware". we keep some most up-to-date firmware there.
it is a text file, which can be used by the "EVMFirmwareUpdater.exe" to uploaded to the EVM.
