Low power bidirectional current measuring for solar charge controller

Hi,

1. I need to make a solar charge controller for which I need a bidirectional current sensing IC. Should be low power as it will be battery powered if there is no sunlight.
2. Panel is 12V with OCV of 21.97V.
3. Cost effective also.

    There are a lot of options for you based on what you are looking for.

    If you would like a digital output device, then the INA226 and INA260 are some high accuracy devices that would work for you. The main difference between the two is that the INA260 has an integrated shunt resistor to make your design easier. These digital devices also have low power modes that can be enabled.

    If you would like an analog output device, then the INA210 and INA250 are some high accuracy devices that would work for you. The main difference between the two is that the INA250 has an integrated shunt resistor to make your design easier.

    If your main priority is low cost, then the INA181 is an analog output device that you may want to look into.
