INA180: Maximum input bias current

Guru 16770 points
Part Number: INA180

Hi

Do you have specification of maximum Input bias current for INA180A3, and A4?

BestRegards

  • Hi Na na,

Thank you for posting on the E2E forums.

The worst case should be the advertised 80uA, per input.

Figures 20, 21 and 22 of the device datasheet show a more comprehensive overview on how bias current changes based on other external criteria, such as temperature and common mode voltage and may better answer your question.

Finally there is a plot for quiescent current when the parts is powered off.

  • Hi Carlos

    Thank you for your reply.

I think Input bias 80uA indicates +/- 80uA in fact and it is derived from some standard deviation.
    Is my understanding correct?

If yes, could you please tell me what σ value is from? (e.g. +/-1σ ?)

    BestRegards
  • Hi nana,
It would perhaps be easier if you let me know your operating points, so that we can verify the behaviour.
Generally current input bias sink and source is dependable on whenever Vsense is larger or smaller than the device supply
  • Hi Carlos

    Thank you for your reply.

It was question that would seem to be hard to answer.

Let me close this thread, and thank you for your cooperation.
