AMC1301: Calculate of Error Gain

Part Number: AMC1301
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO124,

Hi team.

My customer wants to know how to calculate of Error Gain.

Please let me know some questions.

#1 Has been the formula of (1) in 9.2.2.1 to omit?

Would you tell me the complete formula.?

#2 The accuracy of Rin

Please let me know the reference value.

Best regards

Hayashi

  • Hello Hayashi,

Have you changed your mind on the ISO124? I'll check the equations in the AMC1301 datasheet and let you know if I see anything that's missing. As for Rin - lot to lot variation could be +/- 1%.
  • Hello Tom san

Thank you for your quick response.I don't told you the detail this question.

This question is different from the customer of ISO124.

This customer wants to calculate of Error Gain using the formula from datasheet 9.2.2 (1),(2).

For the time being, they will be able to calculate Eg as Rin lot to lot variation.

    Let me close this question.

    Best regards

  • Hi Tom san

I confirm the this how to calculate again.
My customer wants to voltage sensing as Fig.52 in the datasheet.

Is this correct at the following contents?

    |EG total| = |EG| + R3/Rin (1)
R3' in this formula is omitted at the moment, but it cannot be overlooked on a long-term basis.
When R3' could not be ignored, would formula (2) be added to formula (1)?

And is EG meaning of "electrical characteristic +/-0.3%"?

    Best regards
    Hayashi
  • Hi Hayashi,

Equation (1) would be the first order estimation of gain error assuming R3' was not used, where (2) gives a closer approximation when you account for the difference in the bias current. Yes, EG max is +/-0.3%.
