OPA454: OPA454 Temperture Range

Part Number: OPA454

Hi Amplifier team

I knew that Wide Temperature Range is -40C to +85C as chart blow.

But Operating Ta is -55C to 125C as a chart blow.

what's the different Wide Temperature Range and Operating Ta?

If we can use operation Ta(-55 ~ 125C), Can we get information about Temperature Screening Spec and MIL-STD-202?

Best Regards

Gerald

  • Hello Gerald,

The OPA454, TA = -40 C to +85 C is the specified operating temperature range. You will note that there are several electrical parameters that are specified for a temperature range of TA = -40 C to +85 C, in the OPA454 datasheet Electrical Characteristics table.

The Absolute Maximum Ratings, Operating, TA = -55 C to +125 C, indicates a wider temperature range where the OPA454 is functional and operates as an operational amplifier. However, no assurances about the amplifier's electrical parameter peformances are made, or implied, for this extended temperature range.

I checked the TI 2017 Defense and Hi-Rel products list and the OPA454 was not listed.

    Regards, Thomas
