To Replace ST TSX711A but with wider supply voltage range

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA227, OPA192

Hi Team,

I’d like to find one operational amplifiers to replace ST TSX711A but with wider supply voltage range. I just find OPA189DBV on the website. while, it's only preview.

Can you suggest one replacement?

thanks,

Bell

  • Hello Bell,

I have a couple of different recommendations for you depending on what device specifications may be of greatest interest to you.

OPA192 - 36V supply,  wider 10 MHz bandwidth, low input offset voltage (25 µV max) and drift (0.15 µV/°C), 1 mA quiescent current draw

OPA227 - 36V supply, wider 8 MHz bandwidth, low input offset voltage (75 µV max) and drift (0.1 µV/°C), low 3 nV/√Hz broadband voltage noise

The OPA192 is the lower power alternative of the two, with the OPA227 offering better noise performance - both offer a significant improvement in DC and AC performance over the TSX711 with wider 36V supply ratings.

Please let me know if you have any questions on the above devices or have any additional design constraints we should take into consideration.

  • Hi Christopher,

thanks a lot for your feedback!

  • Hi Bell,

One additional recommendation I wanted to run by you - the OPA196. It gives up some bandwidth compared to the OPA192 and OPA227, but uses significantly less power while improving DC performance over the TSX711, and is more comparable in terms of price as well.

Please let us know if we can answer any additional questions.
