INA333: Amplification within specif range

Part Number: INA333
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA188

Hi Everyone,

I have a 0 to 10mV signal and I'm trying to:

1 - Amplify by 1000

2 - Translate the signal when is in the 5 to 7.5mV range to 0 to 3.2V range

3 - Output to go into an SAR ADC

I'm not an expert on amps, I have tried using comparators but they are logic driven and don't fit what I am aiming for, any suggestions/guidance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

  • Hello Edgar,

I am happy to help.  I do have a few questions.

    1. What is VCM of the INA333?
    2. What is the SAR ADC Device number?
      1. What is the acquisition time?
      2. What is the conversion time?
    3. Do you have a schematic you can send?

  • Thank you very much,

I've attached a schematic, after reviewing some parameter had to replace the INA333 with a INA188, voltage range.

Also I just realized that the INA333 (U2) may not work, the Gain should be 1.2 (Vout/Vsig = 3.0/2.5=1.2, can you recommend a better part?)

    1. Vcm not too familiar with what should it be..would 1.6V be the one?

I'm in the process of reading an AN regarding this.

    2. I have not selected the SAR yet, but a 1Msps is about what I'm aiming for, acquisition ~10 to 20 ns and Conversion 60 ns as rough numbers.
