TL441: What is the actual minimum Vcc(+/-)?

Hi there. I see on the datasheet for the TL441 LOG Amp that the Vcc max is +/- 8V but it doesn't list the minimum. Most example circuits show a value of +/-6V. My question is will it work at +/-3V and what is the actual minimum voltage?

The general chip schematic kind of suggests that it could work at +/- 3V but I'm only estimating a guess. ;)

Hi Paul,

I haven't been able to find any information about a minimum operating voltage for the TL441 log amplifier. However, the schematic indicates that the circuits are analog and it doesn't appear something will simply shut off if the supply voltage is lowered somewhat. I do think that it will function down to +/-4 V, and possibly to +/-3 V. Certainly, all input and output level ranges would have to be scaled appropriately. It would be a matter of trying it and seeing what you get.
