LM614: EOL alternative is a different footprint

Part Number: LM614

Part number LM614IWM/NOPB is now going EOL and the suggested replacement is TSM104WAIDR.

The original part is SOIC-16 DW and the new part is SOIC-16 D.

Are there options for fitting a narrow SOIC onto a wide SOIC footprint?

Are there footprint compatible alternatives other than TSM104WAIDR?

Ed,

The standard SOIC and wide SIOC are not compatible. The reference in LM614 LMV614 is not the same as TSM014W. The former is 1.2V common cathode and the later is 2.5V common anode. There is no closer match and none that have DW package.

Good point. It is not the LMV614. It is the LM614IWM/NOPB

All the same it is a shame that the obsolete component is replaced by one that is not footprint compatible. There are no other alternatives?

LMV614 was a typo, I meant LM614. Wide SOIC is generally used when the silicon chip is too wide to fit in a "narrow" SOIC, therefore we do not have many wide SOIC op amps. I recommend taking advantage of the lifetime buy.

However given enough volume, anything is possible.
