noise number

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

Hi

I am doing a noise-analysis on this amplifer. But it gives me a very low noise number, can anybody see whats wrong. I have attached the file.  Thank you.Tlvnoise.TSC

  • Hi James,

Please see the attached TINA-TI file. I modified the simulation to run out to 1GHz. To simulate the "total noise" you must run the simulation until the noise curve flattens off at the top. Please see our TI Precision Lab videos on Noise for more information. I simulate a total noise of approximately 43uVrms.

I also modified the second amplifier in your circuit such that it is biased to mid supply. It is always recommended to bias any unused amplifiers in a package such that the input voltage and output voltage are within the linear operating range of the device.
