LMH7324: LMH7324 Output level

Part Number: LMH7324

Hi All,

Need one clarification on the part LMH7324SQ.

Can you please advise what will be the expected output voltage levels for VCCO=1.8v , will it be VOH=0.7v & VOL=0.3v?

thanks

  • Hi Siddarth,

VOH and VOL will be relative to VCCO. The high level of the output is normally 1.1V below VCCO and the low level is normally 1.5V below VCCO. So in your case you are correct that VOH = 0.7V and VOL = 0.3V.

  • thanks for the reply. in my case VE=-5v, VCCI=4.5V & VCCO=1.8V , is that fine ? also can you please advise on the following :

    • The current draw in 12v DC electrical Charachteristics is the no load supply current or with 50ohm terminated into VCCO-2v ?
    • What are the ratings of the clamp diodes on the input pins as well as the power clamp diodes (as highlighted below)? At what voltage above VCC or below VEE do these start conducting more than 1mill amp current?

  • Hi Siddharth,

Yes, your configuration is correct. VEE must be 4V or greater below VCCO in order to get proper output switching. As stated in the beginning of the 12V DC electrical characteristics table, the current draw is with a 50 ohm load terminated to VCCO-2V. The LMH7324 has a standard esd structure. The esd diodes typically start conducting 1mA of current at 450mV to 500mV above VCC.
