ONET4251PA: Supported data rate

Hi Team,

Please allow me to ask you if the device could be used below 1Gbps. Actual data rate planned to use is from 150Mbps to around 2.5Gbps.

Would it be possible to use ONET4251PA in such application ?

My guess is that the device may able to operate, however, electrical characteristics are not guaranteed.

Please let us know if there is other limiting amplifier device which could support above data rate with similar jitter performance with ONET4251PA.

    Hello Kawai,

    Yes, the ONET4251PA does work at data rates as low as 150 Mbps, but the electrical performance specs given in the Datasheet are not guarenteed for speeds below 1 Gbps.

    We do have other options for the limiting amplifiers in the optical networking applications for 2.5 Gbps speeds: ONET4201PA and ONET4291PA, but these devices are also optimized for speeds between 1 Gbps and 4 Gbps, so they might also show similar performance as ONET4251PA at lower speeds.
