PGA281: Connection of VSOP pin to ADC supply

Hi Everyone,

In the datasheet of PGA281, I have seen the following statement " The supply voltage for the output stage is normally connected to the converter supply, thus

preventing signal overloads from the high-voltage analog supply."

Can we connect the VSOP pin of PGA281 be connected to Analog power supply of ADC (AVDD of ADC) or should VSOP pin be connected to ADC reference ??

Appreciate your help at the earliest...

I would connect the VSOP pin to the analog power supply of ADC.

Hi Rajesh,
You'd typically want to connect the PGA281 VSOP to the ADC supply, as long as that supply is within the 2.7-5.5V range specified by the PGA281. It may be possible to connect it to the ADC Vref output, but care would have to be taken to not excessively load the ADC reference. It's likely simpler to connect to the ADC supply instead.
