LM2901: IOL(Low-level output current) in case of VCC=15V

Part Number: LM2901

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask LM2901?

If you have the data of IOL(Low-level output current) in case of VCC=15V, could you give us?
Our customer would like to know the minimum sink drive current.
Because, the customer would like to use open collector type comparator whose drive capability is more than 10mA.

Kind regards,

Hirotaka Matsumoto

  • Hello Hirotaka,

The performance at 15V will be similar, or better than, the 5V specs. Please see figure 3 in the LM2901 datasheet for the expected sinking current performance.

The output will be typically be about 250mV at 10mA, 350mV over temperature.

The specified minimum sink current is 6ma, but typically runs about 16mA at current limit, but can go as low as 12mA.
