Looking for MIC6211 replacement with better swing

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV171, TLV170

Hello there,

In my current design I am using MIC6211 as voltage buffer. The problem is (I noticed that later) its output voltage swing. The chip is powered from voltages varying from 12 V to 25 V (reference to ground). The voltage I need to buffer varies from 2V to 0V. Now its minimum swing is around 1.2 V and I need a maximum of 0.2 - 0.3 V. Are there any TI parts that would match the MIC6211 footprint and provide better swing? I would appreciate all help.

  • Hi Lukasz,

Thanks for your question. I think the best answer is going to be the the TLV171 - it is pin-to-pin compatible and has better output swing. Take a look at its datasheet and see if you think it will meet your needs. The exact pin to pin part number is TLV171IDBVR.

One other possible option is the TLV170 (TLV170IDBVR), but the TLV171 has better output swing and I think would be a better choice.

    Hope that helps,
    Paul
