AMC1301: Offset

Part Number: AMC1301
I use in our project an insulated amplifier reference AMC1301 from Texas.
We have an important offset related to our scheme, in fact we perform a voltage measurement via a divider bridge.
I bought the evaluation board "AMC1301EVM" VINN input is not connected to the GND1 of the power supply and this has the effect of removing the offset.
I would like to know that it is the recommendation of Texas concerning this type of use knowing that in the data scheet it gives like scheme VINN connected to the GND1.
  • Hi Jean!

Welcome to our e2e forum! You are correct in that the AMC1301EVM does not tie VINN directly to GND1, since we don't know the exact configuration each customer would like to use with the evaluation module, we left the hardware flexible. The important thing is restricting the input common mode voltage. If you can provide more detail on your particular setup, we may be able to help you determine where the offset is coming from.
  • Hi Tom!

    Thank you for your answer

I think I have found the solution to my problem in the component datasheet

    Paragraph 10.2.2 Isolated Voltage Sensing

    Thank you for your help
