LMP8640: Small Vsense specification

Guru 19685 points

Part Number: LMP8640
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA193

About LMP8640, specification of Vsense vs Vout is described only large Vsense scale(0V to 600mV, attached below).

Is there any data for small Vsense scale vs Vout?

Customer is interested in Vout linearity for low Vsense(less than 20mV~30mV) condition.

For example, if there nearly data for INA193 datasheet figure 26,it is the best.

Best regards,

Satoshi

  • Hello Satoshi,

The LMP8640 datasheet includes an output versus input curve for smaller voltages in Figure 14 (attached below). In addition, the datasheet specifies the maximum (worst-case) "Minimum Output Voltage" (or swing to ground). So while I would reference Figure 14 during your analysis, please know that the Vout might not reach the approximately flat 20mV for gain 100V/V option and Vsense = 0. The gain curve could stop at maximum of 80mV according to the 80mV minimum output voltage spec.

Also know that all of this testing is done with a 10MΩ load resistor. If you use a lower resistor/heavier load/higher output current sourced, then the amplifier will be pulled down closer to ground.

    I hope this helps.
