INA240: Looking for device...

Part Number: INA240

I am looking for a High side current sensor, 80V (or thereabouts), Bidirectional, with comparator (or other over-current output)

From what I can find it would be a merge of these 2 devices. INA240 & INA20x (I'm guessing bi-dir comparator is issue)

I don't specifically need Volt out, data out would be fine.

I need to sense current (60A max normal operating) into & out of a battery (28V &  56V)

I need  fast response for significant overcurrent detection to protect MOSFET's etc...

Reasonable over-current I can detect with uP via current measuring.

    Hello Tonio,

    Thanks for considering to use Texas Instruments in your design. As of now, we do not have such a device. The best I can recommend would be to use an INA240 with an external comparator.

    Hello Tonio,

    It seems that INA240 is perfect match for your Application. You just need to choose Shunt resistor value and if you want data as output then you can simply connect MicroController to the output pin and by sensing voltage, you can generate data you need as output. I have used INA240 for my application and it works fine.
