UAF42: How can we check traceability for Burr brown parts having old datecode

Part Number: UAF42

We did purchase part UAF42AP with Burr brown (our customer insists to buy Burr brown only) make last month from a US source. We want to check if the parts are genuine or not based on available lot code number. Please advise if anyone know procedure to check tracebility for these old parts.

  • Hi Noel,

The Burr-Brown and TI UAF42 date/lot code marking has changed across the years so we may, or may not be able to help you. It just depends on what information we are able to find about the markings.

If you purchased the UAF42 product from an authorized TI distributor, there is a very high likelihood that it is genuine TI product. TI makes great efforts to assure only genuine TI product reaches our customers from the distributors. If it came from someone else that could complicate things.

If you can capture some images of the marking on you UAF42 devices that gives us a starting place. The laser marking can be difficult to determine.
