INA302: ALERT delay typo in DS?

Part Number: INA302

Is there a typo in the t delay equation (EQ 2, section 7.3.2) in the INA302 datasheet?  I can't seem to get the same result used in the example.  Vth should be 1.22V and Id appears to be 5uA (just using typ numbers from the electrical characteristics), but I don't get the same result (492pF) when running through the given example.  Is the example wrong - or the equation - or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,

Dan

  • Hey Dan,

Thanks for reaching out on the forum. I evaluated Equation 2 from the datasheet and also am unable to replicate the 492pF result. Consequently, on the following business day, I will share this issue with my team and determine if the formula is still valid and the calculated result is wrong, or if there was a term in the equation that was accidentally omitted. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  • Hello Dan,

I checked with the design lead for the INA302 and he said the equation is correct and that someone botched the calculation. You should get a value of 30.7pF assuming Vth = 1.22V and ID = 5uA.
