OPA376: output current

Guru 29720 points

Part Number: OPA376

Hi Team,
My customer considers to use OPA376.

1)
The datasheet shows th following about Isc.

I believe condition of Isc is Vs=±2.75V.
Is my understanding correct?
If the answer is yes, I would like to ask Isc value under Vs=±1.75V.

2)
Figure 12 shows "Output Voltage vs Output current" under Vs=±2.75V
Is there "Output Voltage vs Output current" figure under Vs=±1.75V?

Best regards,
Yaita / Japan disty

  • Yaita-san,

The point at which a short-circuit protection kicks-in is at the knee of the Iout vs Vout graph shown by the red arrows below (+25mA/-45mA).

Depending on the supply voltage, point of connection and value of the resistive load (therefore, the value of output voltage), the short-circuit current will somewhat vary; for example, for +/-2.75V supplies and RL=0, the Vout=0V and thus short circuit current would be +35mA/-53mA (see green arrow above) while for +/-1.75V supplies and RL=0, the short-circuit current would be +32mA/-50mA (see blue arrows below).
