Leakage current detection chip

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA190, INA149

I came in from 220V. Now I use a chip to detect mutual inductance chip for leakage current. Is there any alternative for TI to detect leakage of 220V chips? Thank you!

  • Hello Meng,

What are the current levels and range you are trying to measure? nA, uA? Is this a low-side or high-side application? If you need a device that can withstand 220V at the input pins, then you could consider the INA149. If you need to measure uA of current, then I would consider the INA190, but you would have to float the device's power supply, since its maximum common-mode voltage is 42V (not close to 220V).

I am unclear on what your application is, but we do have a leakage current detection reference design located here:

  • Hello Meng,

I will assume you have solved some design considerations, but if you have more questions please post back to the forum.
