RCV420: RCV420 availability

Hi,

I'm planning to use the RCV420 (www.ti.com/.../) in a new industrial design but i've noticed on farnell.com/nl that they only have 900 chips in stock and that only available until end of stock (no reorder).

Are there plans to discontinue this IC?

Until when is this chip available in the EU?

There is no plan that I'm aware of discontinue the RCV420. I did notice that there is no longer any stock of parts with the suffix G4. These were older parts that used a different designator for Green/Lead free.
