Hi all,

As we know THS6212 is facing a strong competitor ISL15102 (from RENESAS) in PLC (power line communication) marketing, and they are Pin to Pin in design. Is there anyone who does the research about their difference in typical circuit design?I found there was quite lot's of difference,and the ISL15102 typical design shows as bleow(data from it's datasheet):

What sort of difference in typical circuit design are you asking about? In regards to performance or implementation?

They will have similar implementation, as both parts require external gain and feedback resistors, and other external components as required by the application. The THS6212 has more flexibility as it has three different power modes selected with two bias pins for optimal performance vs power savings.

In terms of performance, the THS6212 has double the bandwidth, over triple the slew rate, and 1/3rd the input referred voltage noise.
